Todd is a corporate and transactions attorney representing clients across various industries, from startups to established companies, in all phases of their formation, operation, and growth. Prior to joining Plunk Smith, he spent over 20 years as the General Counsel for a national consumer financial services company, and understands the nexus between legal and business issues, and the critical role legal counsel plays in the successful achievement of business objectives. He is a skilled corporate generalist with extensive experience advising clients on a broad range of legal matters including contracts and transactions, corporate governance issues, joint ventures and strategic alliances, human resources matters, licensing, regulatory enforcement, internal investigations, and privacy and data security matters.
As a member of the firm’s Corporate/M&A team, Todd’s practice primarily focuses on the preparation and negotiation of a variety of contracts, corporate governance matters, the preparation of corporate policies and employment agreements, entity formation, and mergers and acquisitions.
Todd received his undergraduate degree at Vanderbilt University, and his Juris Doctorate at The University of Memphis School of Law where he was a member of the Law Review and Chief Justice of the Moot Court Board. He is an active member of his church and an avid golfer and sports enthusiast. Above all, he enjoys spending his free time with his family, especially his new grandsons.
