Melina is a proud member of Plunk Smith’s corporate and transactional team who concentrates her practice in the areas of general business and corporate law, mergers and acquisitions, and tax law with an emphasis on federal tax consulting, planning and compliance services provided to corporations, pass-through entities, and high net worth individuals. Melina has over a decade of experience representing clients in a variety of business matters, including asset protection and management, entity formation, private equity backed acquisitions, real estate transactions, commercial lending transactions, and corporate, partnership and limited liability company governance.
As a tax law enthusiast, Melina brings an eye for tax efficiency to every transactional matter she puts her hands on, thereby ensuring her clients are not only conforming with all applicable tax laws, but also maximizing their tax savings. Working with clients across a variety of industries, her goal always remains the same – to provide valuable legal services in a personable manner while helping her clients achieve their objectives.
Melina is a sixth generation Texan with three young children (all boys) and two dogs who think that they are children. When away from the office, Melina enjoys spending time with her family (including the dogs, of course), attempting to be crafty, and being outside.
