Christie joined Plunk Smith in March 2023 and is a member of the transactions team. Christie brings a wealth of research and writing experience to the firm as a former staff attorney for one of Texas’ appellate courts and representing clients before state and federal courts at the trial and appellate levels. Christie works on various corporate matters involving mergers and acquisitions, restructuring, entity formations, and outside general counsel matters.

Christie has been recognized as one of D Magazine’s top lawyers under 40 and as a Texas Super Lawyers Rising Star. She graduated in the top ten percent of her class at the University of Tulsa College of Law in 2009, where she was an editor for the Energy Law Journal and the American Bar Association’s Year in Review for the Section on Energy and Environmental Resources.

Prior to law school, Christie graduated from Texas A&M University-Commerce, where she graduated summa cum lade in 3 years while also playing on the women’s varsity golf team.

When away from the office, Christie enjoys spending time with her family and friends, working in the yard, and playing the occasional round of golf.
