At Plunk Smith, PLLC, we are committed to fostering the next generation of legal professionals through our Summer Clerkship Program. Designed for first- through third-year law students, this program offers a hands-on learning experience in a collaborative and dynamic law firm environment. Over the past three years, our program has provided law students with invaluable exposure to the legal profession, equipping them with the skills and insight necessary for a successful career in law.
What to Expect & How to Apply
Our Summer Clerkship Program runs annually from May through August and provides participants with the opportunity to:
- Work closely with experienced attorneys in their chosen fields
- Draft legal documents and conduct legal research
- Attend client meetings and hearings
- Gain exposure to litigation, estate planning, immigration, and corporate law
- Experience the daily workings of a law firm firsthand
We primarily receive candidates through referrals and law schools, but we also welcome direct inquiries through our website. In previous years, our team has visited law schools to conduct interviews and connect with potential clerks.
